Jeremy Corry, 30, died Friday, July 6, 2001, at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was admitted to St. Luke's Wednesday evening, July 4th, after having suffered a massive cerebral hemorrhage at the home of friends in Houston.

A resident of Houston since June 1999, Jeremy was born December 11, 1970 in Ogden, Utah. As a youth he attended Roosevelt Elementary School in Ogden, Utah and the American School of Madrid, Spain. In 1988 he graduated from Croughton American High School in southwestern England. Following high school Jeremy enrolled at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Active in many student organizations, including Emory's first formally recognized gay and lesbian students organization, Jeremy received a bachelor's degree in biology in 1992 and the master of public health degree in 1998.

From 1992 until 1999 Jeremy was employed as a laboratory researcher and systems manager at Emory University. In June 1999 he joined the University of Texas Houston Medical School as information systems manager for the Departments of Pathology and Cardiosurgery. During his two years in Texas Jeremy founded and organized the Houston Faerie Circle and served as coordinator for the Texas Medical Center Lambda Group.

Jeremy is survived by:

His partner of seven years, Richard Jasper, also of Houston; his children, David and Emily Jasper of Decatur, Georgia; his parents, Ron and Becky Hall of Moore, Oklahoma and Wanda and John Corry of Rancho Cordova, California; sister and brother-in-law Wendy and Howard McDaniel of Ogden; sister and brother-in-law Jocelin and Larry Hobbs and niece Makenzie Hobbs, all of Oklahoma City; sister Melissa Hall, Oklahoma City; brother Nicholas Hall, Asuncion, Paraguay; his grandparents, Shirley and Bob Johnson, Ogden; and many other family members and friends.

Memorial services for Jeremy will be held:

Saturday, July 14, 2001, Ogden
Friday, July 20, 2001, Houston
Sunday, July 22, 2001, Atlanta
